Carole and
Martin Parker
Carole J. Parker,
Ph.D.

Dr. Parker is an
Illinois Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Member of the California Psychological
Association and the Illinois Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association. She
holds a Ph.D. in psychology and certificates in Career Management,
Substance Abuse Treatment and Marriage Enrichment.
Dr. Parker has led
mentoring programs at Fortune 500 companies such as Accenture where she
has addressed issues of Leadership Development, Credibility, Career Life
Balance and Effective Communication. These programs contributed to the
organization’s winning the Catalyst award.
Carole leads “The CEO
Journey”, a group of CEOs who are aiming to increase their personal
clarity, courage and humanity so that they may leave a greater legacy
and identify their future options.
In the Chicagoland
area, Dr. Parker and her colleague, Karen Skerrett, Ph.D., lead “The
Journey with Intent”, a program for people seeking increased meaning and
fulfillment in life. Carole is also a guest lecturer at the Business
Schools at Northwestern University and DePaul University.
Dr. Parker speaks frequently to organizations on enhancing credibility
and increasing marital satisfaction. Her most requested talks are: “How
Do You Keep the Music Playing?” and “You Can Send Her Anywhere and
She’ll Do Well”.
Martin M. Parker,
Psy.D.

Dr.
Parker has had over 30 years of experience as a consultant, counselor and
educator to numerous corporations, academia, and the U.S. Navy. He has
used his coaching skills nationally in working with numerous Fortune 500
companies and non-profit organization. He has appeared on TV and radio
discussing the ways drugs can hurt you.
Martin has taught numerous college courses for over 28 years, and
he has supervised both undergraduate and doctoral practicum students.
He is current Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Harper College.
He has had over 25 years of experience using CBT to address
anxiety, depression, substance abuse and weight management. Dr.
Parker has held an appointment to the Program Faculty at the
Center for Applied Psychological Studies (The Family Institute) at
Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois.
Dr. Parker conducts workshops on Stress and Coping with joblessness
during uncertain times, as well as the role that substance abuse
plays in difficult marriages. He has most recently written a book
addressing most areas of psychology, titled "Understanding Psychology"
and accompanied Study Guide.
These books have been published by Horizon Publishing and the
ISBN numbers are 1-59602-793-1 and 1-59602-794-0. He is the
author of over 20 workbooks and articles, the most recent being
Identification with the Aggressor which will appear in the Encyclopedia
of Psychology 4th Edition by Corsini, published by Wiley.
Martin holds a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Illinois
Institute of Technology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from
the Adler School of Professional Psychology. He is a full member of
the California Psychological Association, the National Association
of Addiction Counselors, and the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Parker is an Illinois Licensed Clinical Psychologist, College Professor, Certified Addictions Counselor, Executive Coach and Board Registered (dual-diagnosis) professional.
